Dear Community-Minded Friends:

It seems there are endless causes in need of your support-especially in today's tough economic times. Being solicited for continual donations throughout the year by charity after charity can become tiresome and ineffective. While there are plenty of worthy organizations out there in need of assistance, we ask that you consider this unique opportunity to become a privileged partner of the new Edward C. Gartland Youth Centre recently launched by the Turks and Caicos AIDS Awareness Foundation (TCAAF).

The Edward C. Gartland Youth Centre is our biggest endeavor to date and something that will make a positive impact on the island. Investing in our young people is essential for our community to thrive and prosper. This is what the Centre is all about- making sure that Turks and Caicos has a bright and prosperous future by protecting our young people who are most at risk from HIV/AIDS and equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and motivation they need to compete in a globally competitive workforce.

The Centre has opened its doors to the youth of the island of Providenciales. Our goal in the first year is to provide services and support to 375 young people (this is 25 percent of the total number of people estimated to be between the ages of 13-24). All funding for the Centre, including construction, furnishings and operations, has come from private donations and TCAAD fund-raising efforts.

We invite you to become a core sponsor of the Centre by making a donation of $500 a month for one year. This money will be used to run the Centre and to ensure its services and programs are provided free of charge. An annual donation of $6,000 (or $500 a month for a year) covers the operating cost for 12.5 kids per month. Please see the statistics below for further details.

We are already operating so please join us today! If you would like further information please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yours Truly

Toni Sottak

Director, TCAAF
